Getting to know The Hoa

Lesson 5 of 8 · Getting to know The Hoa

Eight things that make The Hoa

Every promise comes with an action

Guests may get to know The Hoa through a photo or an introduction line. When they receive the cup, they will sense for themselves whether those things are true. The eight points below help us connect the introduction with our daily work.

1. Sweetness that suits the tea base

The Hoa aims for balanced sweetness so the drinker can still clearly sense the aroma and taste of the tea.

At the counter: Ask about the sugar level, confirm the request and make it to the right measure. If the guest wants it less sweet, explain the options for that drink.

You could say: “If you like it lightly sweet, I can suggest a sugar level that suits this drink.”

2. Quality controlled in every cup

The Teapresso and shared recipes help keep quality more consistent from one brew to the next.

At the counter: Use the right program, ingredients and measure. Check when the finished drink shows signs of being off-standard.

You could say: “The tea is brewed fresh by machine, following the settings for each tea base.”

3. Trà Dưỡng with clear ingredients

The Hoa presents Trà Dưỡng (the herbal tea line) with clearly listed ingredients and a product declaration file. Guests need to know which blend they are choosing and what is in it.

At the counter: Look up the correct ingredient list for each flavor; introduce it by ingredients, aroma and taste. Do not turn the drink's name into a promise of treatment.

You could say: “Let me open the ingredient list for this flavor so you can take a look.”

4. A milk base that goes with the tea aroma

The milk is blended to make the drink softer and rounder while keeping the aroma signature of the tea base. The homepage introduces a milk base with no creamer powder for the Trà Sữa Signature line.

At the counter: Use the right milk base for the drink and the option the guest has confirmed. When there are several milk options, check the information for each type before explaining the ingredients.

You could say: “We use a milk base made specially for floral tea drinks.”

5. Aroma sensed while drinking

The aroma straw helps extend the aroma experience in the floral tea line.

At the counter: Prepare the right type of straw, keep it clean and invite the guest to take in the aroma before drinking when convenient.

You could say: “Try smelling the aroma before your first sip.”

6. Tea bases you can see at the counter

The labeled tea tubes let guests see the tea leaves and learn about the options available.

At the counter: Keep the display area clean, with clear and correct labels. Store the tea as required; when a guest wants to smell a sample, follow the store's hygiene guidelines.

You could say: “These are The Hoa's tea bases, you can take a look at the one you are choosing.”

7. Herbs you can see in the cup

Ingredients such as red dates, goji berries or dried orange help the drinker recognize part of what goes into Trà Dưỡng. Each flavor has its own blend.

At the counter: Use the full and correct ingredients according to the recipe, and present them neatly so the guest can see them easily.

You could say: “Each Trà Dưỡng flavor has its own blend. Let me introduce the ingredients of the one you are looking at.”

8. Meticulous care (chỉn chu) you can see

A clean counter, cups set straight, lids sealed, correct labels and bags packed with everything in them all help create a feeling of reassurance.

At the counter: Look over the order through the eyes of the person receiving it before handing it over. A water streak on the side of the cup or a missing item can both be fixed right at this step.

At this point, your work speaks for the quality of service on its own.

Try it on your next shift

Pick one of the eight points and find one specific thing you can do better today.

Take this with you. You help keep all eight things through the way you brew, the way you check and the way you answer guests.
