Read the label before you do anything

The label is what the barista and the runner both read

At The Hoa, one cup passes through three people: the person who takes the order, the barista, and the runner (the person who packs and hands out orders). The label is how these three people say the same thing. A wrong order of items on the label means a wrong cup.

The label has six boxes, always in one order

• DRINK
• MILK BASE
• SUGAR
• ICE
• TOPPING
• NOTE: dine-in, takeaway, or app with the last four digits of the order code and the cup number (1/3, 2/3, 3/3)

Example: "TS Sen Hạ · SN · Đ50 · ĐA100 · +HS · App 4821 · 2/3" means Trà Sữa Sen Hạ (Summer Lotus Oolong Milk Tea), Sữa Nước (milk), 50% sugar, normal ice, add lotus seeds, app order ending 4821, the second cup of three.

Example: "Dưỡng Gan · - · Đ100 · ĐR · - · Mang đi" means Trà Dưỡng (the herbal tea line), Dưỡng Gan (Late-Night Recovery) flavour, no milk base, normal sugar, ice on the side, no topping, guest takes it away.

Common abbreviations

• Milk base: SB is Sữa Bột (creamer), SN is Sữa Nước.
• Sugar: Đ100, Đ75, Đ50, Đ25, Đ0.
• Ice: ĐA100, ĐA50, ĐA0. ĐR is ice on the side. N is hot.
• Topping: a plus sign then the short name, for example +TCT is tea pearls, +HS is lotus seeds.
• Milk tea adds "TS" before the tea name. Trà Dưỡng is written "Dưỡng" then the flavour name.

How the barista reads the label

• Stick the label on the side of the cup, below the flower sticker, not covering the logo. Stick it on before brewing, not after.
• Read all six boxes out loud once before weighing the tea.
• After brewing, initial the corner of the label. That is the first check.
• If the label cannot be read or a box is missing: ask the person who took the order. Do not guess.
• Orders with several cups: line the cups up by number 1/3, 2/3, 3/3 on the tray before packing.
