Getting to know The Hoa

Lesson 8 of 8 · Getting to know The Hoa

Each person, one flower

Finding your own part in The Hoa

You will find your own way of doing things well

On your first day at the counter, remembering the tea names and reading through a whole order may have kept you busy. After a few shifts, you start to get the hang of it, notice when a guest is undecided and know when a teammate needs help.

Some people learn recipes quickly. Some find it easy to chat with guests. Some are very careful at the packing step. Every strength has a place to contribute.

The Hoa story closes with this message:

Each person, one flower - blooming in their own time, beautiful in their own way.

At work, you can take this very close to heart: give yourself time to learn, ask when something is unclear and contribute through what you do well. When a mistake needs fixing, point to the exact spot together so next time goes better.

The same goes for guests

Some like strong tea. Some want milk added. Some already have a regular drink, others need a few tries to find the taste they like best.

Respect shows in listening to what they like, explaining the options clearly and letting them decide. A pleasant experience begins with the feeling of being heard.

Three brand lines, three ways to live them

Aroma comes first. The tea follows.

Understand the drink's aroma signature, make it right and invite the guest to explore when appropriate.

Light in taste, light in the heart.

Keep the flavor balanced and make choosing and receiving a drink easy.

Some days, one small thing is enough to bring us back to ourselves.

That small thing might be a cup that suits their taste, a thoughtful answer or an order made exactly as the guest asked.

From understanding the brand to standing at the counter with confidence

By now, you know where The Hoa began, how each cup is prepared and how to find a drink based on what the guest likes.

In your next shift, pick one thing to practice: introduce a tea base more clearly, confirm an order more carefully or help a new guest find a drink they like. Each time you manage it, your confidence will grow.

Try it on your next shift

Complete two sentences: “What I am doing well is…” and “What I want to do better next shift is…”.

Take this with you. You have a part in the experience the guest receives. That part grows with what you learn and do every day.
